Some couples know exactly the song they're looking for as their first dance, others have difficulty finding that special song. The Impulse party band have put together a list of our "most popular first dance" suggestions below.

Impulse will always play the first dance for your wedding, even if it's not on our current repertoire list, provided you give us enough time to learn it if necessary! If you wish to discuss your first dance in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our function booking team on 08450 450 711. We can also cater for last dance requests if required.

Party Entertainment Planning and Organisation

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, take up heaps of time you probably don't have and can be rather expensive. Impulse Music is here to help you with the entertainment side right from the first stages of booking the band, down to providing ceromony music, live cocktail/background music over dinner and a DJ and disco in between the band sets and afterwards, all for one reasonable package price.

Options and Band Sizes

You can choose from booking the following:

- 5 piece band
- 8 piece band
- Ceremony Music (Piano/Guitar and Vocals)
- Dinner Jazz/Live Cocktail Music
- DJ and Disco

The Impulse 5 piece function band consists of drums, bass guitar/backing vocals, keyboards/backing vocals, guitar/lead male vocal, female vocal. This fabulous party band can play styles of music ranging from 30's to present day, including swing, rock n roll, pop, rock, soul and motown. You choose the styles you'd like most, or just leave it to us! We'll make sure your guests are dancing all night long!

The Impulse 8 piece function band consists of the same line-up as the 5 piece. The only addition is 3 fantastic world-class brass players. They really add the sparkle to the band and help deliver a fantastic show on your extra special day. Once again, we promise to get the dance floor full! You can add ceremony music and have the sounds of Mandy and an acousitc guitar as you walk down the aisle. Or maybe you'd prefer piano and vocal. Just tell us you're requirements or leave it to us - either way, we'll make sure we add that touch of class to your wedding ceremony.

Many people choose dinner jazz to create an elegant atmosphere amongst the wedding breakfast. Some couples choose this style of music during cocktails instead of during dining. You can see a video clip of the dinner jazz setup by clicking HERE.

And finally, the DJ. If you're looking for a disco or DJ to fill in the gaps between the band's sets, why not choose the Impulse DJ. The DJ works solely with Impulse, using our great sounding professional PA system and amazing DMX lighting system. He will also make sure he doesn't play any of the songs the band will play!
